At TF1, we explored the daily life of Marie-Alix Jeanson, her husband, and their five children. Large families: life in the XXL. Anne continues to share her adventures on Instagram as well as the release of new episodes on the first channel. After her husband, who was transferred to Reunion island yesterday, his wife Alexandre revealed the difference in meal prices compared to metropolises in the program. Marie-Alix explained that she had to change her habits to prevent her shopping budget from increasing to 1500 euros a month!
“I dreamed of prices”
Yesterday, Wednesday, February 1, he said: “I will definitely have to adapt my local consumption style here in order to succeed in lowering the food bill a bit”. to have almost “1500 euro per month”, “Not possible” for a mother of five children. So she went out to do her shopping, she admitted: “I got it for 245 euros today and I think I only have enough food for three days. What we find on the shelves is not much different from mainland France, but the little stickers showing the price are quite different”. And to continue: “I hallucinated the prices even though I was warned that it was expensive”.
For example, Marie-Alix talked about the price of her children’s favorite soda. “2.34 euros per bottle, so the package cost me 14.04 euros”, announced. Anne wasted no time finding alternatives to the higher cost of living in Reunion. “Worst of all, they’ll make a slice of passion fruit instead of rubs. And then they’ll make mango juice instead of soda. It doesn’t matter, we adapt. Plus, it’s better for your health!”, Reacted. Then, to conclude: “If you had come two months later, I would have done all my shopping for 50 euros!”. Let’s hope he can overcome this challenge that still seems too complicated to accomplish…
