A new funny trailer for the dark revenge comedy has been released To move onhero Jane Fonda AND Lily Tomlin. The actresses famously starred in the 1980 comedy 9 to 5 together next Dolly Parton, and recently returned to work for another comedy, 80 for Bradynext to Camp Sally AND Rita Moreno. These two women know how to make a powerful female led comedy and this film looks to be great.
The film is both written and directed by Paul Weitz (american pie, Down to earth, About a boy), and Fonda and Tomlin have been cast since Malcolm McDowell, Richard Rotondo, Catherine DentAND Marcel Nahapetian.
Here is the synopsis of the film:
Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star as estranged friends who reunite to take revenge on their recently deceased best friend’s petulant widower (Malcolm McDowell). Along the way… Fonda’s character is reunited with her great love (Richard Roundtree) as each woman learns to make peace with the past and with each other.
This movie looks captivating. I like good women’s empowerment stories with a friendship undertone. Check out the trailer below and see To move on in select US theaters March 17.
