Hasbro CEO Teases ‘Really Awesome’ KPOP DEMON HUNTERS Toys and 50+ Film and TV Projects Coming Soon

Hasbro just released some great news for investors and fans alike. CEO Chris Cocks revealed some interesting details about what’s ahead for the entertainment giant, including a “really cool” new collaboration with Netflix for KPop Demon Hunters and dozens of projects now in development.

Total revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 8% year over year to $1.39 billion, with earnings per share of $1.68, both above Wall Street forecasts. Despite some hiccups in retail earlier in the year, Cocks said things are improving.

Since selling eOne to Lionsgate in 2023, Hasbro has relied on what CFO and COO Gina Goetter called an “asset-light” approach to entertainment. This means Hasbro is focusing on creating content in-house for major household brands like Peppa Pig, while licensing other IP to major studios and streamers.

Cocks defined entertainment as an essential long-term strategy: “We see entertainment as a long-term brand development channel. There’s some revenue associated with it. It’s advertising that pays for itself.”

He pointed out that Hasbro is partnering with “the best of the best” including Disney, Netflix, Universal, Warner Bros., Paramount and Lionsgate. While the company isn’t ready to announce specific development deals just yet, Cocks teased that 2026 will bring much more to share.

It looks like we can prepare for a wave of Hasbro-based content. Cocks confirmed that approximately 45-50 film and television projects are currently in development. Among them are two Monopoly projects, a feature film at Lionsgate produced by Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap, and an unscripted game show in the works at Netflix.

One of the big revelations came when Cocks talked about the upcoming one KPop Demon Hunters collaboration with Netflix. Both Hasbro and Mattel are co-master licensees of the animated project, and Cocks couldn’t hide his excitement:

“We have a lot of really cool ideas. It’s been fun working with Netflix in pretty quick order.”

This partnership marks a major success for Hasbro’s entertainment strategy, especially as the company continues to build creative relationships with top movie studios.

Cocks also teased a “stacked” Disney slate for next year, which includes Story of toys 5A Star Wars film focused on The Mandalorian and Grogua new one Avengers entrance and another Spider-Man installment. With so many iconic franchises on the move and Hasbro’s entertainment arm operating at full capacity, 2026 could be a huge year for the company’s toy and media businesses.
