‘Wheel of Fortune’ & ‘Danger!’  Extends for 5 years with a huge increase in ABC stations

EXCLUSIVE: ABC includes vowels, consonants and extension questions wheel of fortune and Danger!.

The Disney company’s owned and operated stations increased to keep long-running game shows on track.

Deadline understands it has renewed both shows, the two most-watched shows in syndication, for five years through the 2027-2028 season. It takes a while wheel of fortune through its 45th season and Danger! through its 44th season.

It comes five years after the announcement of the last major pay raise, in which ABC beat out Fox to keep both shows for the 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons after Fox came in with a competing offer.

Both programs have aired on ABC television networks in major markets for over 30 years and currently air on numerous ABC networks, including four major markets: WABC, New York; KABC, Los Angeles; WLS, Chicago; and WPVI, Philadelphia.

Sony Pictures Television is producing both wheel of fortune and Danger! and CBS Media Ventures distributes both series.
