We get a look Pamela, a love story, in the first trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary about the life and career of Pamela Anderson.
Described by Netflix as “an intimate and human portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, Pamela, a love story follows the journey of Pamela Anderson’s life and career, from small-town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist and loving mother.”
In the trailer, Anderson reveals her thoughts on the infamous sex tape of Mötley Crüe’s front man, Tommy Lee, that was stolen and distributed on the Internet.
“I cut this stolen bond out of my life to survive, and when it all comes back, I’m sick of it,” Anderson says in the clip released Tuesday.
The sex tape scandal was recently back in the spotlight with the Hulu series pam and tommy, in which she was played by Lily James. It tells the story of her whirlwind romance with Lee and the chaos that unfolded in their lives in the 1990s when their unauthorized sex tape was released.
“I want to take control of the story for the first time,” she says in the documentary.
“I put myself in crazy situations and survived.”
The trailer ends with her asking, “Why can’t we be the heroes of our own life story?” and then she jokes: “Why don’t I do all the interviews naked? There is no secret here.”
The documentary is directed by Ryan White and produced by Jessica Hargrave, Julia Nottingham and Brandon Thomas Lee.
Pamela, a love story Premiering on Netflix on January 31st.
