Ramsey appeared as John Diggle aka Spartan in a total of 10 episodes of The Lightningfrom season 1.

“As one of the legendary Arrowverse characters who helped start it all, John Diggle has a special place in our hearts and ours too,” said executive producer Eric Wallace. “Also, the great presence and commitment to excellence that actor/director David Ramsey brings to the screen every time is truly inspiring. So bringing Diggle to Team Flash for our final season was clearly a good idea! Because Kid Flash isn’t just any speed demon, he’s a beloved part of our Team Flash family,” Wallace said. “As soon as we knew he was coming back, we started writing a special and heartfelt story for his return. The result is a brilliant performance from Keiynan that shows a side of Wally West you’ve never seen before.”
