NCIS Fans should expect Tony and Ziva to see each other again in 2023. Michael Weatherly, who played Agent Anthony DiNozzo on the CBS drama for 13 seasons, teased a possible return.
In a thoughtful tweet about the year ahead, DiNozzo tweeted, “Happy New Year! It’s time to look back and enjoy the moment!”

One fan had a different take on “enjoying the moment,” saying, “We’d all rather watch you and Ziva get back together.”
Quoting the tweet, Weatherly added, “Stay tuned… because this could be an interesting year for ‘moments’ like this!”

Lightning is gone NCIS in 2016 and last appeared in the season 13 finale, where he learned that Cote de Pablos Ziva was killed in an attack, but had given birth to daughter Tali years before. Tony’s departure prompts him to go to Paris with Tali, which fans took as a sign that Ziva was still alive.
It was later revealed that Ziva was not dead, but on the run. De Pablo returned to the series regular in season 17.
