Erin Tridle, originally from Los Angeles but now with her French husband in Paris, reveals how to get to the entrance in a short TikTok tutorial that has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.

The Paris native instructs viewers to go down the stairs and through an underground passage to an access point behind the “Great Pyramid.”

While crowds can be seen around the main entrance of the Louvre, no one is visible at the steps of Le Carrousel du Louvre.

Before dealing with this access issue, Erin recommends purchasing tickets online to ensure access and to be able to easily show the PDF to inspectors.

Erin said that when she took this treacherous route, it only took her “about five minutes” to get through security and into the museum.
