Resurfaced FAMILY GUY clip reignites plane seat swapping debate – as viewers rage against cartoon character asking to swap seats to sit with his family

The airplane etiquette debate has been in full swing for the past few months, with topics like lying down and undressing taking the internet by storm.

But it’s no surprise that the most common point of contention is still changing seats.

Recently, the debate reignited after an episode of the popular animated sitcom “Family Guy” resurfaced.

It showed Stewie and Brian Griffin refusing to give up their seats so a family could sit together, in a scene that bitterly divided viewers.

In the clip, which appeared in Season 10 of the hit series, the duo can be seen boarding the plane next to a gentleman in the window seat.

His wife approaches him with a small child in her arms and politely asks: “Excuse me, would you mind if we switch places so my whole family can sit?”

But the claim is quickly refuted.

Stewie says, “No, no, we’re not switching.”

Undeterred, the woman continues calmly: “Because when we discussed, there were not three of them together.”

She is suddenly interrupted by Stewie, who shows little sign of relenting as he adds passionately: “Ma’am, ma’am, your poor planning is not an emergency.”

“You will see him in Paris, sit down.”

The woman then shuffles out of frame, presumably to return to her seat, as Stewie and Brian continue their previous conversation.
