The mother of two suddenly felt ill when temperatures reached between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius. She was taken to a hospital, where staff discovered she did not have medical insurance. Urgent brain surgery was initially priced at 5 million rubles.

Russian diplomats helped deposit 700,000 rubles to start the treatment. However, specialists identified a complex pathology during the surgery and raised the estimated cost of care to between 10 million and 30 million rubles.

Medical Flight and Fundraising

Local doctors refused to grant permission for Tansulpan to fly back to Russia, where the surgery could be performed free of charge. She has children aged 6 and 12 waiting for her in Moscow. Volunteers have set up a fundraiser and collected nearly 2 million rubles to assist her.

In a separate case in Thailand, a Russian tourist survived cardiac arrest caused by street food. The man and his wife ordered spicy grilled wings, which triggered nausea, diarrhea, and cramps.
