Rare Beauty, the cosmetics brand created by American singer and actress Selena Gomez, 34, is launching its Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick in Brazil on September 1.

The new makeup product will be available exclusively through beauty retailer Sephora across Brazil, sold on the company's official website, mobile shopping application, and physical store locations for R$ 189.

According to the official announcement, Rare Beauty described the stick as a versatile three-in-one cosmetic designed to glide on like a lightweight lip oil, shine like a gloss, and deliver the color intensity of a lipstick.

The formula is enriched with nourishing botanical oils to lock in moisture and reinforce the natural barrier of the lips. The company stated that the product leaves lips feeling visibly soft and smooth without any sticky texture.

Product features and shade selection

Lightly scented with a subtle apple fragrance, the product maintains lip hydration for up to eight hours following application. It is launching in eight distinct shades that range from soft pinks and neutral nudes to bold red and vibrant fuchsia options.

The lip oil stick arrives alongside five new shades of Rare Beauty's Kind Words Matte Lip Liner. The waterproof, long-wearing lip pencil is formulated to line and define lips while pairing seamlessly with the brand's lip color range.

The Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick originally made its global debut in July, triggering widespread discussion across social media channels. Interest surged after Gomez wore the shade named Wish while attending the wedding of her best friend, music superstar Taylor Swift, 36.

Brand background and retail expansion

Gomez founded Rare Beauty in 2020, positioning the brand around inclusivity, mental health support, and accessible everyday cosmetics. The label has developed a massive following for its face and lip products, including its widely popular liquid blushes and lip oils.

Sephora, the global cosmetics retail chain owned by French luxury group LVMH, serves as the primary retail partner for major international beauty brands entering South America. In Brazil, Sephora manages an extensive footprint of physical boutiques in major metropolitan shopping centers alongside its nationwide e-commerce platform.

Starting September 1, beauty consumers throughout Brazil will be able to purchase the new Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick collection and complementary Kind Words Lip Liners across all official Sephora sales channels.
