Former England footballer Peter Crouch and model Abbey Clancy have confirmed a new Prime Video docuseries documenting their upcoming house move and family life.
The streaming platform Amazon Prime Video provided a first look at the series, titled The Crouches, on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The show will follow former striker Peter, 45, and television presenter Abbey, 40, as they navigate shifting priorities, big birthdays, family weddings, and their four children growing up after leaving their £3million home.
In the documentary, the biggest change of all will see the couple pack up and move out of the home they lovingly designed from scratch to take on a brand-new redesign project. An offer has already been accepted on their current home, a bespoke build featuring eight-foot-tall doors specifically built for Peter's statuesque six-foot-seven frame, with an imminent move-out date.
As Abbey dives headfirst into managing the new renovation, Peter is scheduled to set off to cover the World Cup, leaving her behind to juggle their children, pets, and an active building site. Having turned 40, Abbey decided that roles within the family needed reshaping after making previous sacrifices for Peter's professional football career, choosing to make her own goals a priority.
A warts and all look at family life
Abbey and Peter revealed that the series will offer a "warts and all" look at their daily lives, promising it will contain moments they may regret letting cameras see and declaring that the show will rival American reality franchise The Kardashians. Two first-look images released by Prime Video showed the couple being followed by camera crews, while another captured them clinking glasses in an empty kitchen as they prepared to leave their family home.
Speaking about the upcoming docuseries, Peter said: "We're so excited about our new series with Prime Video. I absolutely loved making That Peter Crouch Film, so much so that this time I've somehow managed to drag Abbey and the whole family into it!"
Peter added: "It's a bit scary as it's warts and all, but I'm sure you enjoy laughing with us (probably at us). There will be a lot of chaos and probably a few moments we'll regret letting the cameras see, some ups and some downs, but it will be us. Our life should be lovely, calm and simple… it is not. Watch out Kardashians we are coming for you." The series is scheduled to launch on Prime Video in 2027.
Family life and temporary move to Portugal
The couple share four children together: Sophia Ruby, 15, Liberty Rose, 11, Johnny, eight, and seven-year-old Jack. Peter Crouch enjoyed a successful 20-year career as a professional footballer, earning 42 caps for England and scoring 108 Premier League goals for clubs including Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Stoke City, while Abbey Clancy achieved prominence as a fashion model and television personality after placing as runner-up on Britain's Next Top Model and winning BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
Earlier in the summer, it was revealed that the couple had temporarily moved their family to Portugal while initial construction and renovation work was carried out on their new home. Discussing the temporary relocation on their podcast in July, Abbey said: "Obviously, we sold our house, we were looking for a new house, we thought we would try living in Portugal for a bit."
Abbey added: "We've absolutely loved it and you know it works perfectly for us because you know we can renovate our new place and all come back and it'll be done. The kids have loved it and you know it's just been a great experience."
Podcast revelations and phone checking
The couple have built a massive audience through their comedy podcast, where they regularly share lighthearted insights into their marriage and family dynamics. Earlier this month on the podcast, Abbey admitted that she felt "physically ill and so upset" after going through Peter's mobile phone behind his back and discovering his secret celebrity crush.
Recounting the incident on air, Abbey said: "I went through your phone," to which Peter replied: "Which you shouldn't do." Abbey justified her action by saying: "Everyone does that, every girl does that. But I find out things from you by doing that. I found out you had this crush on Jet from the Gladiators, which I didn't speak to him for two days after and he was like 'Abbey, she's like 60' and I was like 'I don't care, it made me physically ill,' I was so upset."
Peter defended himself on the show, saying: "But I'm allowed to fancy someone from 25 years ago… That was well before you as well, I was around 14 when I was watching Jet." Abbey replied: "I know, but still knowing my husband fancies someone else." Jet, whose real name is Diane Youdale, was one of the main starring cast members on the original UK television series Gladiators from 1992 until 1996.
During the same phone inspection, Abbey discovered that Peter was secretly planning an upcoming golf trip, prompting her to snap on air: "So! And at the same time I find out you're planning this golf trip." Peter explained that he prefers to "have all his ducks in a row" before raising plans with his wife, to which Abbey asked: "But you don't tell me before the day before Pete." Peter replied: "Would I want a month of hell or a day of hell?"
