An interior designer sported the sleek, modern shower look and writes a spray $13 for the stylish result.

Sydney DIY’er Erin, known as ‘Plants Happen’, Rust-Oleum used Primer & Paint Spray, Duct Tape, Ajax Spray and Kleenex to modernize her old bathroom.

Erin sprayed Ajax cleaner on the shower’s glass and metal frame to clean the surface before painting it for DIY.

An interior designer showcased the sleek, modern shower look and gives a $13 spray for the stylish result.

Erin cleaned the frame with Kleenex to prepare it for painting, then dried the area with a clean towel.

The decorator then attached duct tape around the edges and cardboard to the glass shower panels to protect them from spray paint.

When the only visible area was the white shower frame, he sprayed matte black paint directly onto the metal frame.

“Yeah, there’s some on the wall… Use nail polish remover to clean it up,” Erin said in her TikTok conversion video.

He let the black paint dry and removed the cardboard panels and masking tape from the frame to reveal his modern-looking shower.

Impressed by her final results, Erin posted her finished look on social media, but warned that she always had to polish and prep first.

  1. Spray Ajax cleaner on the shower’s glass and metal frame to thoroughly clean it before painting.

  3. Tape the edges of the frame and attach rectangular pieces of cardboard to the shower panels to protect them from spray paint.
  4. Spray the matte black paint directly onto the metal frame.
  5. Let the paint dry and remove the cardboard panels and masking tape from the frame to reveal a modern-looking shower.

He posted the transformation on TikTok and Instagram, where he received more than 15,000 views and comments from impressed DIY fans.
