when we were yesterday focuses on Carmen and Silvia, mother and daughter. Two women who, despite completely different mentalities, come together in a deep longing and longing for freedom and independence, and therefore they will get ready to go off the beaten track and ignore the rules that the society of the time set for them for the simple fact that they are women. The story takes a 360 degree turn when The Muntaners, they decide to introduce Silvia into society, and her mother, Carmen, eagerly awaits the opportunity for her daughter to marry a rich man who will enable them to maintain a high standard of living. We know full well that sham marriages always fall apart, especially when another man crosses paths with the wedding plans. That is where Rafael comes into play, a young man who has nothing to do with the social or economic position of the Muntaners.
