Consider his highly regarded performance as more partyThe unarmed and astute Detective Dunner, Tiffany Hadish stand-up comedian, couldn’t stand the insidious explanation that the police escaped in his recent real life.
Headish partnered with Apple TV + secret comedy executive producers Roshomon Chris Miller and Phil Lor, and starred alongside Sam Richardson on Deadline’s Contenders Television panel to discuss plans to return his favorite character for a second season. She made a few oblique jokes referring to him arresting him in Georgia in January on suspicion of driving under the influence of a car.

After Hedishi’s jokes sparked a big laugh from the live audience, Miller confirmed that Hedishi will still be at the center of a new murder for next season. “Tiffany will be back to solve another mystery and some of the returning actors as well,” she said, without revealing who the returning actors might be. She later confirmed that the actors will reprise their characters from the first season. “And we have a very interesting new group of suspects that we will be able to share information about very soon,” Miller added.
The series follows Hadith’s Detective Danner as he searches for the killer at a house party after a high school reunion.
Each episode explores different character accounts of a fateful night, using all genres and imagery from famous films to fit the narrator’s perspective. The first season stars Heidi, Richardson, Zoe Chao, Ben Schwartz, Ike Barinholtz, Ilana Glazer, Jamie Demetriu and Dave Franco.
In addition to directing, Miller co-stars with Lord Miller as showrunner and executive producer through the pair’s production company, Lord Miller. Anthony King is also an executive producer. Lord Miller’s Senior Vice President of Television Aubrey Lee is the producer of a series produced for Apple by TriStar TV and Sony Pictures Television.
