Mel Greig reveals how a scammer stole $1000 after chatting on Tinder
Radio star Mel Greig has revealed how a charismatic man she met on Tinder scammed her $1,000 after she “moved in” on her first date.
Mel says she was cheated on by a senior executive who asked for a loan after she lost her credit card.
When he handed over the money, he went to work and left his bag of clothes and never saw her again.
The scam occurred in 2017 when the former radio host was finalizing her divorce and was given the confidence to “get back there”.
A conversation with 7Vita Mel revealed that the scammer used the spell on the first date, which was Friday night, and stayed with him for the weekend.
On the third day, the man asked if he could stay a little longer, as he was having trouble finding a suitable place to live.
Overwhelmed by the excitement of a new love, Mel inadvertently accepted the red flag buried beneath the dazzling façade of her new flame.
Days later, she asked him for money “so easily” for a few days that it didn’t seem like a big deal.

The former radio host claimed she was scammed by a man she had been with for a week, assuming she was a senior executive.
“At that point, I had seen the paycheck that said he had made more than $300,000, so I didn’t think it was weird,” he said.
Then she totally offended him, even blocked him on social media, devastated him and undermined his trust.
The radio host thought she was careful returning to the dating scene, even asking for a photo with the morning paper before meeting in person.
‘I felt physically ill. “It was naive to trust someone I just met,” he said.
He even Googled his “rugby-loving, timeless suitor” to make sure he wasn’t a catfish, and found that his claims of being a company executive were true.
He said it all overlapped, so the cheating was a big shock.
But after she told her story, she found more than 100 40-year-old women who claimed to have been scammed by the same man.
From detectives to surgeons, each woman’s story bore eerie similarities to her own, the only difference being the amount of money she would receive from each victim.
According to Greig, who now describes himself as a professional swindler, a woman worth $70,000 was stolen from the man.
He said the women he targeted had good jobs, were smart, but took advantage of their weaknesses.
She thinks she’s seen as an easy target because she’s recently divorced.
The internet celebrity who promotes kindness wants women who get robbed in search of love know it’s not their fault.

He now knows that he was targeted by the professional scammer who followed him after he took the money.
He says these “narcissists” are professional scammers, and that doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong or are too gullible to fall for their scam.
Bad dating kept her from looking for love for three years, but she recently revealed that she’s leaving “Hinge” and is ready to go out again.
Mel shares her story as part of a movie competition called Feature 30 †
