A mother of three revealed that she was pregnant with her niece through IVF after agreeing to be a surrogate mother for her aunt and uncle, who had struggled to get pregnant for years due to infertility issues.
Kayleigh Robertson, a mother-of-three and fitness phenomenon from Alberta, Canada, said in September 2020, after she “completed her own family”, she offered to help her aunt, who couldn’t get pregnant, to help her family expand.
She explained that she decided to carry the baby because her “body handles pregnancy well” and “loves being pregnant”.
After spending “months” on fertility treatments involving “a lot of hormones and injections,” Kayleigh is now pregnant with her aunt and uncle’s child, meaning she will have her niece in September when the baby should be due.

Kayleigh Robertson, a Canadian mother of three, said in September 2020, after she “completed her family”, she offered to help her aunt, who couldn’t get pregnant, to expand her family.
She explained that she decided to carry the baby for her because her “body was handling the pregnancy well” and “she loves being pregnant”.
‘We are here! Now I can tell everyone that I am pregnant with my niece… Interesting conversations await me,” she continued, with the pregnancy first announced on Instagram in January.
Kayleigh is now pregnant with her aunt and uncle’s child, so she will have her niece in September when the baby is born.
“When I first offered to be a surrogate, I knew it would be a process. But I had no idea how this process would go and what it would actually look like.
“Now that I’m on the other side… I can honestly say he was VERY VERY SURPRISE. But it was also worth it.
Kayleigh recalled “a lengthy screening procedures, paperwork, blood tests, appointments, legal contracts, injections, hormones, other fertility drugs, and two embryo transfers” before she finally got pregnant.
But in the end, he described it as the most “rewarding” thing I’ve ever done.
“I am so grateful to have this opportunity and to be in this position,” he spat.
In a separate post, Kayleigh announced that she lost her pregnancy when she miscarried at 13 weeks in 2016. And since then, she has said she has “a big heart for combating infertility.”
“I felt like it was what I had to do,” he explained. “I love being pregnant, I’ve had the easiest pregnancies in the world.”
According to Influencer, the biggest benefit of the whole ordeal – “besides being able to give them this gift” – is “scaring people” when she says she’s going to have a grandchild.

He eventually described it as the most “rewarding” thing I’ve ever done and added: “I’m so grateful to be in this position.”
She said the biggest benefit of the whole ordeal – “besides being able to give this gift” – was “to scare people” when she said she was going to give birth to her cousin.
“We’re having so much fun in this part,” he joked.
However, the mother of three faced some backlash on social media for choosing to take her aunt and uncle’s son with her, with some people accusing her of “making a deal” because she was “making money”.
She responded to the comment with a third message, explaining that although her medical bills were covered, she had not been paid for the pregnancy.
“There are certainly proxies in various places who are getting compensation, but that’s not part of my personal journey,” she wrote on Instagram.
And with or without compensation – surrogacy is a purely selfless act and I don’t know of any other surrogacy who would do it just for money.
“I really only want to help one family member. I’m not bringing this baby for financial gain in any way.
“It really bothers me that people think compensation should be a reason for me when I’m so far from the truth.”
