Kim Kardashian and the hilly northern town of Barnsley may not seem like her natural bedfellows, but the reality star has provided a tremendous backdrop to her former South Yorkshire mining town.
The 41-year-old reality star faced off at Balenciaga in Paris on Tuesday while visiting the couture brand’s flagship store in the French capital.
The outfit wore a black leotard worth over £2,300, promoted the fictional group Speedhunters, and listed the tour dates in white letters behind Kardashian.
Top of the place list? A show in Barnsley on January 4 billed the northern city of approximately 227,000 and listed in the Domesday Book the most during Paris Fashion Week for its most famous take on the Kardashian.

In 2017, it was revealed by iD that Balenciaga’s “tour dates” were a reference to the hometowns and birthdays of the brand’s team.
One of the top fashion brand’s teams has put Barnsley on the fashion map for the past five years, and the town’s name is now on Kim’s famous butt.
Unsurprisingly, the unwarranted mention of the simple northern town in the fashion capital of the world, once a giant of the British glass industry, has caused social media ripples.
There was also local pride in a historic city located in an area known as the “Land of God” for its natural beauty.

WANT TO VISIT, WHO? BARNSLEY – IN THE HEART OF “GOD’S COUNTRY” – WHAT TO OFFER VISITORS?
Once a major city in England’s mining and glass industry, Barnsley is now best known for its football team and bustling markets with a population of around 227,000.

The quiet market town of Barnsley, once known for its coal mining and glassmaking, sits on the edge of England’s beautiful Peak District.
The town and surrounding villages are steeped in ancient history, according to the Visit Barnsley website, mentioned in the Domesday book.
Food and drinks? The menu may include locally produced casks, Yorkshire puddings and curd tarts, a type of cheesecake.
The award-winning Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Wentworth Castle and the rolling hills of the Peak District are nearby – Yorkshire has long been called the ‘land of God’ for its natural beauty.

Kardashian is pictured going to dinner with her daughter North, wearing the same black Balenciaga suit.

The reality star’s dress was worn in Balenciaga Panta leggings for over £2,300 and paired with killer stilettos.

According to the Barnsley Newspaper, the former South Yorkshire mining town was the British city worst hit by Covid so far this week and is now in Blackpool’s hands.
Others thought the marriage between the Hollywood A-lister and the old mining town was too bizarre to understand.
@SevMagnifique wrote: “@KimKardashian’s rocking pants with Barnsley are hilarious.”
Others could not resist the possibility of mocking them; @PaulCra47154521 joked: “Well, this is the end of nowhere!”
Others took it differently, arguing that it’s not a good thing to dress up in Kardashian land. A tweeter was broadcast: “Unfortunately for Barnsley.”
