A royal expert, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be aware that not holding the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral for Prince Philip leaves them “inspiring and rude”.
Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, 40, stood out in their absence when the 95-year-old Queen, senior royals, politicians, European royalty and friends gathered at Westminster Abbey to pay their respects to Prince Philip.
The couple, who live in Montecito, California with their son Archie and their two and nine-month-old daughter Lilibet, announced in March that they would not be coming to England for the memorial service.

Royal writer and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, Prince Philip Revealed, Ingrid Seward, told the mirror that the couple “could have a chance” by not attending the ceremony.
He added that they would be aware of the perspective of their decision not to participate and would appear “edgy and rude”.
“Harry must have known that she would look sullen and mean. And if she hadn’t, Meghan would have done it,” she said.
“The wall of silence was loud, as if they were shouting from the rafters of the abbey. The normally grown Duke and Duchess of Sussex said nothing.
The expert stated that the couple, who previously talked about the turning points of the royal, remained remarkably silent on Tuesday, refraining from telling the event through their social media accounts or through their spokespersons, and did not send flowers to the monastery for display.

The Queen was escorted home by Prince Andrew, 63, on Tuesday, when she arrived for her funeral.
Seward also criticized the prince’s failure to make a statement when he announced that Meghan would not be enlisting in the military a few weeks ago.
The royal writer didn’t believe his argument that the royal family was concerned for his and his wife’s safety as Westminster Abbey was full of security and police officers protecting royal family members and current politicians.
He added that the couple’s presence would not distract the queen, who was at the center of the event, describing their absence as a “missed opportunity” for the couple to reunite with their relatives and see Archie meet their cousins.

Prince Harry was the only royal figure not to attend Prince Philip’s memorial service on Tuesday. Controversial, Prince Andrew has made public appearances for the first time since agreeing to an out-of-court settlement with Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre.
He concluded that Harry would regret not showing up at the event, which was his last chance to honor his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, and insulting too many attendants over and over.
But after royal biographer Angela Levin became the only major royal figure not to attend Philip’s funeral, she wondered if Harry would recognize his “terrible behavior”.
“He’s such a changed person, it’s hard to know if he’ll regret not being there,” she said. The Sun † “The Harry I interviewed was thoughtful, kind, and instinctive. It’s so resentful and “me me me” these days.
“Unless it’s about Meghan and herself, she doesn’t seem to have a wider reach to get things done.
“Many royals from abroad made this effort but Harry’s pathetic excuse was that he didn’t feel safe. The police were going to shut it down completely. The royal children were there, heirs to the throne, so there’s no point in not having protection ».

Prince Harry’s safety concerns were also criticized on Tuesday by Richard Griffin, who spent 14 years as a royal bodyguard for Prince Philip.
Mr Griffin said, “Prince Philip was their grandfather, so William clearly received a great education from him and will learn from him. I hope Harry has some of these in mind.
‘It [Harry not being here] It was a huge disappointment for everyone. People talked about it. Definitely where I am, people said it had to be here.
“All this bullshit about how he didn’t get protection was just a pathetic excuse to me. He should have been here to honor his grandfather.
“After all, if he had been so worried about safety, he could have stayed with his brother and father, who had great security, and he would have been more than safe.”
Other royal audiences also criticized Harry for being the only senior royal to miss the Prince Philip tribute, and GMB presenter Richard Madeley asked, “What is he playing with?” she asked.

Harry most recently returned to England eight months ago to unveil the statue of his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in London with his brother, Prince William, on 1 July.
But he plans to fly to The Hague in two weeks to attend the Invictus Games for his wounded military service.
The games will be held from April 16 to 22, meaning Harry will have the chance to visit his grandmother for his 96th birthday on the 21st.
On 11 March, a spokesperson for the Duke confirmed that he would not be returning to the UK for the service, but added that he hoped to visit his grandmother soon.
In April 2021, Harry returned from California without Meghan, who was seriously pregnant at the time, to attend Philip’s funeral at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
Royal writer Phil Dampier told MailOnline ahead of the event: “It’s very sad that Harry and Meghan are not at Prince Philip’s memorial service and I think Harry will one day regret it.
“He said he didn’t feel safe without Scottland Yard security, but to me that seems like an excuse not to go back to the UK and shows that the gap with his blood family is still serious.
“Harry has always loved his grandfather and was honored when he took his place as Commander of the Royal Marines, but unfortunately that did not last long.
“The couple attended some funerals together and there has always been a relationship between them as both are soldiers on active duty.”
Mr Dampier said that Harry “loved” Philip’s sense of humor and praised it in interviews, adding that it made his absence “even more mysterious and strange”.
“You get the impression that he’s still very hurt by what happened between his father and older brother, and I’m sure they think the same, but it’s tragic to see his beloved grandfather’s memorial”. .
“He flew in for Harry’s funeral and the unveiling of the Diana statue, but hasn’t returned since.
She will attend the Invictus Games in The Hague, but now there must be serious doubts about whether the Queen will attend any of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
“I’m sure the Queen is very upset that she can’t come tomorrow, but she realizes now that Harry can’t change his mind.”
