EXCLUSIVE: Chris Dalzell, known as “Ireland’s Most Tattooed Man”, revealed that he recently met his mother, who hasn’t seen him in person since she changed her look.
A dad who got more than 600 tattoos in just six years revealed what he looked like without them.
Chris Dalzell became addicted to body art to help him fight for his daughter’s health.
He later became known as “Ireland’s most tattooed man” after covering 95% of his skin.

And Chris is now using his extreme appearance to raise awareness of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare condition his daughter suffers from that affects her connective tissues.
Jessica, now six, has spent half her life in the hospital and suffers from constant discomfort, but her father’s tattoos still make her smile.
But Chris, 36, has now shared photos showing just how different he was before the jaw-dropping transformation.

Speaking with, the chef said: “My family hasn’t seen me without a tattoo in six and a half years.
“Looking at the photos of that moment, I know that I am still myself. I see myself as I am now. But I see a less mature person because I matured and grew up with tattoos and children.
“It doesn’t concern me and I look at the photos with pleasure, but I prefer my current appearance. I am now much happier and more satisfied with my life than ever.
Her intense tattoo journey, which involved eight-hour sessions three days a week, caused tension within her family.
But he recently reconnected with his mother, who had never seen him in person with safety pin ink.

Chris, from Bangor, Northern Ireland, said: “It was weird because I had lost touch with my family during the tattooing process.
“I wasn’t talking to my mom at the time. My mom only saw me with tattoos when we reconnected at Christmas.
“It was a bit of a shock, but he said ‘you are still my son and I can still see my son in you.’
“She admitted she was worried about seeing me with tattoos, but said once she saw me I was still her son and she didn’t care at all. It was good for me.
“My family just accepted them and Jess never wants the tattoos to go away.”
And family is still everything to Chris, who over the weekend added a portrait of his second daughter on his back alongside those of the Kray twins.

The gangsters are already positioned next to Jessica and now the brutal brothers represent the “protection” for Chris’s two children.
Last week he said, “I know the Kray have a bad reputation, but they’ve been very loyal. It was more of a protective mark on my back.
“If I go out shirtless, people will see that it is clearly a photo of my daughter and the meaning behind the Kray is protection.”
He also explained why he wanted his tattoos to show his kids that they can achieve anything.
“If I can walk the streets like I do now and live a normal, happy life by getting a job and earning a lot of money, then my kids can do whatever they want,” she said.
