Never underestimate the power of a clean bed, as fresh linens can be beneficial in many ways.

In addition to giving you better sleep, clean sheets and pillow cases can also be linked to your health.

The Sun informed which, according to bedding expert Malik Karman from mattress at nightyou’re probably not rinsing the sheets enough.

Karman said: “Cleaning a pillowcase can remove skin oils and other allergens that build up on the fabric, ensuring that the surface remains clean and comfortable.”

The good news is that you don’t need to wash your pillows that often, as they usually come with clean covers.

Karman added: “The medium pillow can be washed every four to six months to maintain comfort and support.

But before throwing the pillows in the machine, be sure to check the care labels on the pillows to make sure you wash them properly.

It is said that if you choose not to completely wash your pillows, you could have even more health problems.

The expert said: “Pillows absorb many things during the night, such as skin oils, sweat, dead skin cells, dust and other allergens and irritants.”

Simply put, this means that a dirty pillow could cause you to develop facial acne and it could even get quite smelly.

Unwashed pillows will also become problematic for allergy sufferers as they can improve their symptoms.

If you feel you need to touch up your cushions, make sure they are machine washable and remove any necessary covers.

Then put them in the washing machine and add some detergent.

Experts say you can also add a tennis ball to your laundry if you think your pillows would benefit from a little duvet. It might also make them dry faster.

Once washed, you can tumble dry it on a low setting, which will help you get a much healthier kip.
