Squid Game is slowly taking over the world: More than six months after the series’ massive success (which became the most popular Netflix project of its time), Netflix is developing a reality show based on The Game. The name of the show is Squid Game: The Challenge and first details: It is known that 456 players will take place, as in the original, and the winner will receive $ 4.56 million. By the way, this is the largest cash prize in television history. The competition will be directly inspired by the Squid Game, but the organizers also promise to add new challenges and losers will be eliminated at each stage. It’s not like in The Squid Game, which is good.

People from all over the world can participate – auditions have already started on a dedicated website and the only prerequisite is to be fluent in English. Unfortunately, there are no details yet about the start date or premiere of filming. In anticipation of perhaps one of the most high-profile Netflix projects, we remember other crazy reality shows!
Father Daughter (2008 – 2011)
An Indian game show where contestants are bullied and humiliated while trying to make money. And after one of the episodes aired in 2008, everyone started talking about this show: then the presenter hit one of the participants in the face and hit him in response. After that, a whole crowd of men attacked her and began beating her. The contestant will then sue the show management, claiming that she did not consent to the live beating, but the case appears to have been settled.
Worst Driver In The Netherlands (2011)
The newly licensed participants try not to crash by competing on difficult obstacle courses. Definitely not worth repeating.
AKBingo! (2008 – 2019)
A show where the girls – members of the popular Japanese group AKB48 – are forced to suffer in order to entertain the audience. They jump into trash cans, eat cicadas (they are bugs, but don’t google them) or try not to laugh with paper tubes in their noses. The truth remained on the screen for almost 11 years.
Naked and Scared (2013-2017)
An American reality TV show that aired on the Discovery Channel for four years, with each episode showing whether a man and a woman could survive 21 days in various parts of the world without food, water, and clothing. But those who passed all the tests were waiting for a prize of five thousand dollars.
The Fear Factor (2001 – 2006)
Six participants in the TV game are offered to pass tests for the very brave: for example, eat living spiders or jump into the abyss. By the way, in Russia, the show was later adapted and shown for two years, and last year the project returned to the screens.
