A photo of Prince Harry, 37, who has retired from royal duties, and Meghan Markle, 40, who now lives in a $14 million California mansion, were shared on Facebook by The Hubb Community Kitchen.

Captured at the 2018 Royal Foundation dinner, the Duchess is seen wearing a strapless black dress by designer Roland Mouret and sparkling diamond earrings.

Meghan and Prince Harry first visited the Hubb Community Kitchen in 2018 after a fire in the North Kensington building killed 72 people. The Duchess published a cookbook to raise money for the organization.

The photo emerged today after volunteers in the communal kitchen announced that the Duchess had sent them a “thoughtful” ballot to mark the fifth anniversary of the fire.

The event was the Royal Foundation’s autumn dinner at Victoria House in London.

The organization shared the photo online earlier this week and wrote, “Royal Foundation Dinner 2018. The three-course menu included all the recipes from the joint cookbook.”

Meghan, who was pregnant with her son Archie at the time, looked radiant in an Aldrich-style strapless navy blue Roland Mouret dress that looked like it had been turned into a fuller skirt.

She donned Birk’s Snowflake earrings in her £1,718 dress and a navy blue shoulder bag she had worn at another event before.

While photos from the annual dinner aren’t normally released to the public, singer Tom Walker has previously shared some photos from the party.

The Duchess emerged today after volunteer kitchen staff took their place on their Facebook page when she reached out this week to share news about her own children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, and ask about their well-being.

They wrote: ‘Today is a day that we remember and reflect on when we look back. I found this picture of us all the day our cookbook came out.

“The Duchess had made a book for each of us and had written a sweet message to every woman on the first page.”

The comment continued: ‘Always very thoughtful, today 5 years since the Grenfell tragedy we received a beautiful message from the Duchess asking how we are doing, our children and families and our news about her. Just be her kind and gentle way.

Last week, the page also praised the couple over the years since their visit, saying, “We’re usually surprised if it’s flowers, photos, chocolates, phone calls…. they still do. Because they’re a really nice couple”.

Meghan visited central London for the first time in 2018 when it was set up by a number of local women to provide meals to neighbors affected by the Grenfell fire.

Since then, the Duchess has made a few more special trips to the kitchen and helped put together a cookbook that she launched in September 2018, raising more than £500,000 to charities.

One of those visits was in December 2018, when Prince Harry is said to have joined his wife on Thursday night to see the work in person.

In June 2021, the couple sent sweets and a thoughtful letter to the women behind the communal kitchen on International Women’s Day.

Through Luminary Bakery, a small, independent London bakery that Meghan has partnered with in recent years to “empower women”, the volunteers behind the kitchen were presented with delicious fruit-topped cupcakes.

The latest picture comes to light when royal biographer and journalist Duncan Lacombe tells Closer magazine that Meghan and Prince Harry are in the “last hall of luck” with the royal family and will be “banned” if anything from the Jubilee is leaked.

The Duchess made her last public kitchen visit in November 2018 to see how her cookbook funds are making a difference to society.

“If something leaks over the weekend, I think they’re going to be cut off completely,” he said.

Duncan said elsewhere: “They came to the UK and for their anniversary and back to the royalties that have been great for their brand and something Spotify, Netflix and Penguin will eat.”

He explained how their “future behavior” will shape their future with their families.

He said the royal family had “stretched an olive branch” to the couple on their anniversary, adding that “if specific information about Harry and Meghan this weekend is discussed with the press or put in a book, it would ruin it.”

Duncan also said the Sussexes had visited England to “repair the fences” but instead encountered a “brick wall” with a number of elderly royals.

The shooting came to light when a royal expert claimed Meghan and Prince Harry were in a shootout.
