The Foo Fighters and the family of the late drummer Taylor Hawkins announced the first tour of guest artists at a London Tribune concert on September 3, the first of two such events (the Los Angeles show is scheduled for September 27).
At the Foo Fighters concert at Wembley Stadium on September 3, Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Chrissie Hynde, Oasis’s Liam Gallagher, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Home, Supergra and Mark It will feature guests like Ronson. With comedian Dave Chapel.
Other names in the London cast include Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Cheney, Police’s Stuart Copeland, Omar Hakim, Rufus Taylor, Wolfgang van Helen and Hawkins’ cover band Chevy Metal.
The composition of the Los Angeles event will be announced at a later date. Both shows will benefit charities.
A plan for tribute concerts was announced last week for a stellar “global event”. Hawkins, a longtime drummer for the Foo Fighters, died on March 25 while touring Colombia with the band.
The group announced the lineup of London guests on Twitter this morning. See below.
