Pamela Anderson admitted that she feels both bitter and sweet about her role as Mikey Madison in the movie Anora. The film has been called one of the most salacious Oscar nominees.
Mikey, 25, plays a topless dancer and escort from Brooklyn who spontaneously marries Ivan Zakharov (Marc Eidelstein), the son of a Russian oligarch.
“When I watched the movie, I didn’t know what to think. There’s so much nudity and sex in the movie, I thought, ‘I just want to get you out of there and hug you,'” Pamela Mikey, 57, said in Variety’s “Actors on Actors” issue.
Pamela stated that she took the story seriously because she had friends who worked in the sex industry and were trying to return to normal life. The star to some extent associates himself with this image. However, he praised Mikey’s performance and stated that he did an excellent job as an actor.
In response, Mikey said he was ready for the role. She and Mark Eidelstein were also offered a coordinator for intimate scenes, but they decided to resort to her services only in emergencies.
