Director Paul Greengrass, who worked on the Jason Bourne series, will shoot a series based on Stephen King’s legendary “Tale” with A24 studio.

A24 will work on the film adaptation of Stephen King’s fantasy novel “The Tale”. The work is being adapted into a 10-episode series. According to Deadline, the screenwriter will be Paul Greengrass. The series will be executive produced by Peter Rice, former chairman of Disney General Entertainment, along with Greengrass and King.
The publication reported that by the end of 2022, several studios were vying for the rights to film the novel. Universal Pictures made the deal based on the studio’s relationship with Greengrass, with whom he worked on The Bourne Identity and News From the World.
“The Tale” tells the story of a 17-year-old boy who inherits the keys to a magical portal and finds himself in a terrifying world where there is a war between good and evil. This was King’s first true work in the fantasy genre, and the book was over 600 pages. Rice, who read and liked the book, suggested a project to A24 in which Greengrass stayed.
