5 best Greek restaurants in Moscow

Over the past few years, dozens of Greek restaurants have opened in Moscow. And surprisingly, they are no different from those prepared on the Aegean coast. Even the olive oil here is just as aromatic and oily. There are enough Greek projects in the capital for every taste: there are “serious” projects, where there is no time for sirtaki, and there are ambitious ones, where it is customary to break plates. And all of them are in our selection.

We tell you about the five best Greek restaurants in Moscow, according to The Fashion Vibes editors.

Eva

Judging by how much Muscovites love the restaurant of Lucky Group Eva, the project can be called the second Greek embassy in the capital. Here they cook in an open kitchen with a wood-burning stove, but the main thing is a variety of appetizers and dips. By the way, here they serve the legendary Greek salad, which foodies call the most delicious in Moscow. Whether this is true or not is up to you to decide. But coming to Eva and not trying it is tantamount to a crime. Bakhtiyar Shamsiev is in charge of the kitchen here. By the way, we talked about this here. Here, the ingredients are local products produced by a supplier from Greece using special national technology. Its quality is obvious; Muscovites love Eva so much that this year its second branch was opened in the capital.

Greeks

The Greeks are a great place to take a siesta with a large group of friends. We definitely recommend ordering the octopus here – it’s the main character of the menu and is prepared according to chef Nikita Brekhov’s family recipe. Other must-try dishes include the Mediterranean dorado, zucchini and eggplant chips and of course the legendary dessert “Hellas” made with white chocolate and featuring the Greek gods. Overall, a must-visit. The cool atmosphere is accompanied by a more or less democratic score. Although the bar menu is so extensive, it’s almost impossible to be satisfied with just one or two cocktails.

Curiosity

Arkady Novikov’s restaurant Meraki. Warehouse”, located in the “Three Stations” area, is ideal for those occasions when you want a change of scenery. The interior here is made in a truly Mediterranean style with blue shutters, perforated chandeliers and plates on the walls. We recommend starting your dinner with traditional appetizers – Greek mezze. By the way, there are more than twelve of them, but our favorites are tzatziki, salmon rieti and tapenade with olives. Be sure to take a large Greek salad with feta cheese and Mediterranean fish – all this is prepared here in the same way as on the shores of the Aegean Sea.

“Path”

Restaurant “Paphos” is the newest venue in this selection. On two floors of a mansion in Tverskoy, two projects are located: a brasserie and a large Greek restaurant. In the evenings they break plates and dance syrtaki, and in the mornings they serve a rich Mediterranean breakfast with oriental coffee on the sand. The interior of “Paphos” is made in the style of Mykonos, the main resort of Greece. So, speaking in the language of zoomers, it is definitely a “vibe plus”. By the way, this year the Era club opened on the third floor, where each party is dedicated to a certain historical period.

Kefi

The main secular Greek Konstantin Andrikopoulos certainly knows a lot about Mediterranean cuisine. Therefore, when it comes to national Greek dishes, we trust him like no other. Kefi restaurant opened last year on the site of Dom 12 in Mansurovsky Lane. Chef Evgeny Dokunin is in charge of the kitchen here, and Konstantin is the ideologist of the project. The menu is created based on family recipes. If you do not understand anything about this cuisine, do not hesitate and ask for a dictionary with translations and location descriptions. The menu here is close to the classics: appetizers, Greek cheeses and Mediterranean seafood. The wine list, compiled by Artem Potapenko, includes more than 200 items divided into three groups: sea wines, Mediterranean wines, continental wines.
