Quentin Tarantino appears set on turning as many of his colleagues against himself as possible. This time, he’s spoken out about the murder of a cameraman on the set of Rust.
Quentin maintains that Alec Baldwin is still guilty of Galina Hutchins’ death despite the court’s acquittal. He announced this on an episode of the Club Random podcast. Tarantino said, “Actors need to check their guns… Make sure there’s no bullet in the chamber or any other problem with the gun when it’s being used in the scene.”
But he admitted that 90 percent of the blame lies squarely with prop manager Hannah Gutierrez-Reid. Meanwhile, the SAG-AFTRA union, which represents all working actors, recently made it official that it’s not the actors’ responsibility to check their weapons before scenes, TMZ writes.
Quentin Tarantino recently spoke in a not-so-nice way about actor George Clooney, saying that he has lost his star status because he hasn’t played a single major role since the turn of the millennium.
Let us remind you that the tragedy occurred on October 21, 2021 on the set of the film “Rust”, in which Alec not only played the main role, but also produced. During a scene rehearsal, he fired a gun that was supposed to be loaded with blanks. As a result, cameraman Galina Hutchins and director Joel Souza were injured. The woman died in the hospital, the second victim was discharged the next day.
