A woman who improved her appearance with ninth weight loss and cosmetic surgery to remove loose skin revealed that she continued to hate her appearance until she learned more about body acceptance.
Leah Jane, 39, from West Sussex, has amassed nearly 36,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts medium-sized fashion videos.
The marketing consultant, who once wore a size 10 after losing the ninth of a size 24, admitted that despite spending thousands of dollars on surgeries to shrink loose skin and lift breasts, she’s still not happy with her looks.
She’s now a size 14 to 16 and has learned to love herself by following therapy and body confidence on social media.

Leah had tummy tuck surgery at the age of 23 to get rid of the “sagging skin” she had left after her ninth spill five years ago.
Two years later, she had a breast lift and plastic surgery, and at the age of 31, a skin tightening procedure was performed on her thighs.
Leah revealed that the joy she felt after spending thousands of pounds changing her appearance didn’t last long.
Speaking to Il SoleLeah, she said she understands the messages people send to her about hatred towards their own bodies after cosmetic surgery, adding, “Not enough people talk about the work you have to do to be (mentally) happy with your body.
“The beauty standards that we must constantly change, namely the shape and size of the ‘ideal’ body will also change. If you’re having surgery just for that reason, I think it can be pretty dangerous. Why does it make you happier?’
“If you’re having surgery to mentally heal yourself, it won’t work.”

Leah, who is now a size 14 to 16, said that not enough people talk about the mental work it takes to be happy with your body.

Leah claims she grew up as a child and started a weight loss diet at age 18.
She admitted that having “extremely loose skin” didn’t help her confidence in her body and that she felt insecure despite having had a lot of plastic surgery to tighten her skin.
The 39-year-old, who has turned the award from 14 to 16 in the last 18 months, said that therapy and following body confidence reports on social media have changed the way she thinks.
Leah was seen nearly 15,000 times in a Tic toc video about her difficulty accepting her body.
“I thought I was going to have this tummy tuck,” Leah says. I went to look down and I would have a flat stomach. I would feel great.

Leah said she “hates” her body after plastic surgery and will consider changing her appearance every day.
“Don’t get me wrong, I was very happy with what they did and they took a lot of skin. It was a flat stomach.
“I was happy with it but still hated my body. Because I couldn’t practice.
“I can’t say enough about the work you have to do here to be happy with your body. It’s not just about diets, plastic surgery.
“You have to do the work here to be happy with yourself.
‘After my tummy tuck surgery, I had many other surgeries. I became so thin that I developed body dysmorphic eating disorder.
“I had lost all that weight, had all those surgeries, and hated myself and my looks.
“I hated myself every day and wanted to change my appearance. I can totally understand when people are texting me and saying, “Look, I had that surgery and I still hate my body.”
“It’s not your body that matters, it’s how you think about your body. The good news is that you can change how you feel about your body.

Leah claims she’s happier with her body than ever before after doing therapy and following her social media accounts for body acceptance.
‘You can change it. Now I’m happier with my body than ever and the best I’ve been in a long time.
Many reviewers praised Leah for sharing their experiences and explained that they had similar experiences.
One person wrote: ‘I lost 8’s. When she was 11.5 she had tummy tuck surgery. He still hated me. from 3 to 16. Happier than I’ve ever been. Now I can really eat normally.
“I could have written that. He had the tire, he lost 8.5°, he had the TT. I hated my body when the tire was empty, I feel so much better on a 16,” said another.
The third added: “Wow, I can’t agree more, I’m 47 years old now menopausal and had an HTT tummy tuck, but I understand that I need to work on myself.”

Numerous commentators said they could refer to Leah’s experience as they continued to hate their own bodies after surgery.
