Q I’m pre-menopausal and I can see my eyes getting drier and more vibrant every day. Eye creams don’t seem to reduce it anymore. Which clinical treatments make enough difference to be worth the money?
A There will come a time when all the creams and serums in the world will not be able to prevent the superfine skin under the eyes from drying out.
This happens when injecting liquids and moisture – locally developed ingredients make a big difference.
An anonymous reader asked for advice on treating dry eye. Inge Van Lotringen says injecting fluids locally makes a big difference. In the photo, the left is before the treatment, the right is after the treatment.
“This means that in the long run these active ingredients become trapped in the skin layer where they biologically stimulate cell regeneration,” says skin therapist Debbie Thomas from London. DNA Nanobio Revitalization Treatment (£195, dthomas.com) uses three small 0.6mm syringes to inject a cocktail of amino acids and vitamins into the upper and lower eyelids.
It burns slightly and as the liquid is slowly absorbed, you may have small blisters around the eyes and possibly swollen skin under your eyes for a few days. But after that, your skin will be more moist.
To keep your eyes looking brighter and less frizzy, three initial treatments are recommended as well as refilling every 6-12 weeks.

Also known as Fillmed Nanosoft eye treatment, it is available in salons nationwide.
