Former King Juan Carlos, struck by the scandal, returned home yesterday and ended his almost two-year exile in the Middle East.

Juan Carlos, who ruled from 1975 until his abdication in 2014, left Spain in August 2020 after being the subject of multiple investigations in Spain and abroad for alleged tax evasion and questionable business in the Middle East.
