What Does Total Recall: Twin Peaks’ Cast Look Like Now?

See how the cast of the 1990s cult hit series Twin Peaks has changed, first aired in 1990. Mystery crime drama follows FBI agent Cooper who travels to the small town of Twin Peaks to solve the murder of innocent high school student Laura Palmer. However, everything is not as simple as it seems.


Kyle MacLachlan – Dale Cooper

Special Agent Dale Cooper, played by Kyle MacLachlan, is the protagonist of the series. Cooper is an FBI agent who came to Twin Peaks in 1989 to investigate the brutal murder of popular high school student Laura Palmer.


Madchen Amik – Shelley Johnson

Shelley Johnson, played by Mädchen Amick, is a waitress at the Double R restaurant, which serves very good coffee.


Dana Ashbrook – Bobby Briggs

Bobby Briggs (Dana Ashbrook) was Laura Palmer’s boyfriend. Bobby was secretly dating Shelley Johnson before Laura’s death.


Richard Beymer-Benjamin Horne

Benjamin Horne (Richard Beymer) is one of the two richest and most powerful people in Twin Peaks. According to Sheriff Truman, Horn “owns half the town.”


Lara Flynn Boyle – Donna Hayward

Played by Lara Flynn Boyle, Donna is Laura Palmer’s best friend. After his death, she becomes obsessed with finding out who killed him and why.


Sherilyn Fenn – Audrey Horne

Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn) lives in the image of a rich little girl who can have anything she wants but her father’s love. He discovers that his father, a city businessman, gave the late Laura Palmer his love, both physically and emotionally.


Peggy Lipton – Norma Jennings

Norma Jennings (Peggy Lipton) is the owner of the Double R diner, where she recruits her close friend Shelly Johnson and runs the city’s program, formerly led by Laura Palmer. She died in May 2019 at the age of 72.


James Marshall – James Hurley

James Hurley, played by James Marshall, is the secretly dating boyfriend of the late Laura Palmer.


Everett McGill – Big Ed Hurley

Big Ed Hurley, played by Everett McGill, runs the local Big Ed gas station.


Kimmy Robertson – Lucy Moran

Lucy, played by Kimmy Robertson, works at the front desk of the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Department.


Michael Horse – Tommy Hill

Tommy Hill, played by Michael Horse, is the executive and thoughtful Deputy Sheriff of Twin Peaks.


Piper Laurie – Katherine Martell

Katherine Martell (Piper Laurie) is Andrew Packard’s sister. She married lumberjack Pete Martell, but their happiness was short-lived.


Harry Goaz – Andy Brennen

Andy Brennen, played by Harry Goaz, is a deputy sheriff in the Twin Peaks department. Andy is somewhat retarded and very sensitive, he tends to cry at murder scenes.


Sheryl Lee – Laura Palmer

Laura Palmer, played by Sheryl Lee, was “the city’s beloved girl” but led a double life and was found dead in the first episode.


Ray Wise – Leland Palmer

Leland Palmer, played by Ray Wise, is a lawyer whose main client is local businessman Ben Horn. He is very well known and respected in Twin Peaks. His parents, wife Sarah and daughter Laura, look perfect. Leland’s psychological foundations begin to crumble when Laura is murdered.


Grace Zabriskie – Sarah Palmer

Sarah Palmer, played by Grace Zabriskie, is Laura Palmer’s mother and Leland Palmer’s wife. Laura is found murdered in the pilot episode of Twin Peaks. Sarah’s husband, Leland, is unstable after a murder and Sarah doesn’t know what’s going on.


Catherine E. Colson – Margaret Lanterman (The Log Lady)

Played by Katherine E. Coulson, Margaret Lanterman, better known as the Log Woman, has become an integral part of the city of Twin Peaks and is considered insane by many of its residents. Coulson died in September 2015.


Russ Tamblyn-Lawrence Jacobi

Lawrence Jacobi, played by Russ Tamblyn, is a highly eccentric psychiatrist. Jacobi spent part of his life in Hawaii and was fascinated by tiki culture. Laura Palmer was Lawrence’s patient.


Miguel Ferrer – Albert Rosenfield

Albert Rosenfield, played by Miguel Ferrer, is a talented forensic analyst brought in by Dale Cooper to help investigate the Laura Palmer case. He died in January 2017 at the age of 61.
