It’s always a good idea to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Moreover, there are many destinations for domestic tourism. And the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia are no exception.
Just three and a half hours and you are in Yaroslavl, a city on the Volga. During the weekend spent here, one thing became clear to the author of this text: you will definitely not be bored. Local restaurants here are no worse than in Moscow, and there are a large number of city attractions, one of which (if you forgot) on a thousand dollar bill, by the way. In general, the cultural program was combined with the gastronomic one. And if Google can tell about the first, then a well-fed person will tell about the second.
In general, there are many terrible legends about restaurants outside the Garden Ring and even about the Moscow Ring Road, but as we have already understood, none of them are true. The gastro-industry in Yaroslavl is developing every year. An example of this is Pavel Kashnikov and Alexey Novikov, co-authors of restaurateurs projects and Good Karma Restaurants concepts. We are talking about them.
We have prepared a quick program for those who come to Yaroslavl and want to try and see everything in one day. Save addresses!

We suggest you start the morning with the most famous restaurant in Yaroslavl among locals and tourists.
In Soviet times, the “Skazka” cafeteria was located on the site of the institution, which was an attraction for local residents. Five years ago, a new restaurant, now called Skazka, opened in the same place. Food and wine. During its existence, it was shortlisted for the Where to Eat gastronomy award as part of the Breakfast Festival and received the “Best Breakfast” rating.
It offers understandable meals prepared from local products for every day. In Skazka, we recommend you to eat boiled cherry ricotta cheesecake and plenty of potato pancakes, especially for breakfast.

If you are the same Georgian cuisine fan as the author of this text, add this place to your must-visit list. By the way, there are four such establishments in Yaroslavl, but we advise you to visit the flagship Mamuka on Pervomaisky Boulevard.
In general, the owners say: “Mamuka” is not a Georgian restaurant, but a place with a Georgian accent, so the cuisine here is presented in the author’s reading of the chef. However, on the menu you can see positions familiar to everyone – fragrant khachapuri, traditional khinkali, satsivi with chicken and, of course, lula.
Cheese from a local cheese factory deserves special attention at Mamuka. Our favorite is the Cachotta.

Fans of European holidays should definitely go to the Italian restaurant Lucia. There is an incredible view of the sunset here on a summer evening and everything around takes you into a holiday atmosphere on the Mediterranean coast.
In general, you will be under a pleasant impression after visiting Lucia. We highly recommend coming here to celebrate the holidays – the restaurant staff will sing for you in Italian, repeat the scene from The Godfather and treat you to pineapple limoncella.
Italian cuisine here is the most traditional – bright and very tasty. Pasta is made ourselves, and pizza is baked in a special oven, of which there are only two in Russia.

Good Karma is one of the most important bars in Yaroslavl, known far beyond its borders. Led by brand-bar manager Roman Vize, the team has been roaring across the country with local hospitality for three years. The guys travel all over the country and host the most interesting projects of the Russian bar industry as guests.
You can’t dance here. The resort is more suitable for gatherings with friends who share the love for new flavors and unusual combinations in drinks.
