A talented makeup artist has become a viral sensation with her stunning optical illusion looks that take up to 12 hours to create.
Esther Alar, 29, from Bogota, Colombia, calls herself “Nekita” and stuns her 83,000 Instagram followers with her incredibly detailed designs.
The makeup artist’s looks ranged from animals like lions and chickens to iconic characters like Spiderman, Dr Strange and Gollum.
Esther also created optical illusions, including one that seems to picture her with multiple eyes.
Nekita says, “My makeup style is surrealism and optical illusion. Most looks take four to six hours to do, but sometimes it can take eight to twelve hours.
“But it’s my art, it’s my feelings, it’s what I live and love, so I find it easy to come up with ideas. I just hold my face, do my makeup and become who I really am.’
Nekita says she channels her emotions into unique looks to come up with her ideas. Some of the great designs are collected below.
