Cody Simpson DELETED all his social media

Cody Simpson takes his swimming career so seriously that he deleted all of his social media from his phone.

The 25-year-old pop star realized that she spends hours on the internet every day and had to break this habit.

“I had six hours for this or that and was like, ‘damn, this is not good. I had to change things,” the Daily Telegraph said on Saturday.

‘It’s actually really great. I don’t want to get involved in what 600 people do every day. Or, for example, reading negative things but also reading positive things,’ he continued.

Cody says you “can be quite involved” when it comes to social media, and it “will affect my emotional health.”

Accounts like Instagram remain active, but Cody says he no longer has any apps on his phone.

The star is working hard for the next Australian swimming championships in 2022 and hopes to represent Australia at the Commonwealth Games later this year.

He is also working hard to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Cody told The Project on Friday night that the transition from traveling the world and hanging out with A-listers requires some adjustments.

‘Lifestyle change is polarizing for me. “It was a radical change from where I came to what I am doing now.”

But I grew up with sports and a family of swimmers. Both parents were competitive swimmers. So I was born there and did it for years,” he continued.

“And I had a crazy life when I went to the USA and I’ve been into music for the last 10 years. I love it and it’s a nice change for me based on my origins”.

Cody said he was worried about the welcome he would receive from other swimmers, but was greeted with open arms and received a lot of support.
