The Oscars are a solemn ceremony, but there are often funny moments nonetheless. Some are deliberately edited and something happens unexpectedly.
In anticipation of the 95th awards ceremony that will take place on the night of March 12-13 (and we will be on the air), we remember the funniest moments of the Oscars.
Naked man on stage (1974)

When actor David Nivena announced that the next nomination would be announced by Elizabeth Taylor and everyone was waiting for him on stage, a naked man suddenly ran after David. Niven did not lose his head and said: “How interesting, the only thing this man will be remembered for is the fact that he ran naked on stage.” It was photographer and LGBT activist Robert Opel. Thanks to this trick, Robert has indeed gained worldwide fame. True, he was killed in 1979.

Roberto Benigni walks onto the stage in chairs (1999)
Roberto Benigni (66) was so eager to win the Best Actor award for Life is Beautiful that he walked straight to the stage on the backs of his chairs. And in her speech, she admitted that she was very happy that she wanted to kiss absolutely everyone.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone parodied Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow (2000)

South Park creators Trey Parker (49) and Matt Stone (47) came in with women’s dresses. Parker copied the controversial Jennifer Lopez (49) dress she wore to the Grammy Awards the previous year, while Matt wore a pink dress resembling Gwyneth Paltrow (46) at the 1999 Oscars. It was later revealed that Parker and Stone were walking the red carpet drunk on drugs.

Julia Roberts asked her not to interfere (2001)
Roberts got a little carried away with her acceptance speech when she won an award for her role in Erin Brockovich. Turning to the conductor in the middle of his speech, he said, “I have great respect for your work, but you are in such a hurry. Why don’t you sit down for a minute? Maybe this is my last stand here.” The conductor listened.
Jennifer Garner hit the stage (2006)
In 2006, the actor took the stage to present an Oscar in the Best Sound Editing category. Jennifer was not surprised and joked: “I do all my shows myself.”
Angelina Jolie and her leg (2012)
Jolie arrived at the award in a Versace dress with a high slit at the calf, and when she posed on the red carpet, she painstakingly pulled out her right leg, apparently to show off her beauty. But all the efforts of Angelina were in vain, her posture looked unnatural, and memes with her participation walked the Web for a long time.
Jennifer Lawrence fell down the stairs (2013)
Jennifer was about to take the stage for the Best Actress statuette in My Psycho Boyfriend, but her Dior dress tripped and fell. Fortunately, everything was fine with Lawrence, he got up and still got his figurine, but everyone remembered this moment for a long time.

By the way, it dropped next year as well but now it’s on the red carpet.
Ellen DeGeneres fed everyone pizza (2014)
The Oscar ceremony lasts for several hours without a break. That’s why the winner of the award, Ellen DeGeneres, decided to order pizza to everyone by collecting money from the stars before. Not even Brad Pitt refused a piece.
John Travolta kisses Scarlett Johansson (2015)

John approached Scarlett for a kiss on the red carpet and she made a disgruntled face. An incredible amount of memes have popped up on the internet where Travolta kisses Putin, the Statue of Liberty and Kate Middleton (37)

Naked server (2015)

Neil Patrick Harris (45) took the stage in his underwear. That’s why he decided to parody the movie “Birdman” that he announced.
Guns Nicole Kidman (2017)

Nicole Kidman’s hands became one of the main memes at last year’s ceremony. The actress simply clapped her palms, and her fingers were bent. In fact, after all these jokes, Nicole explained: “I was so uncomfortable clapping because of the decorations. A huge ring got in the way, it wasn’t mine and I was too afraid to hurt it. Everyone was clapping, but I wouldn’t. Then everyone would ask why I wasn’t supporting anyone.”
Justin Timberlake and his antics (2017)

But the real star of the 2017 Oscars was Justin Timberlake, who did everything to get noticed, and he did it. He initially grimaced in front of his wife, Jessica Biel, while he was photographed on the runway, while she too entered the frame with various grimaces during her interview. And then Emma Stone realized: while she was giving an interview, Justin decided to go into the frame.
Plastic hot dogs (2018)
Jimmy Kimmel (51), Margot Robbie (28), Gal Gadot (33) and Mark Hamill (67) brought huge plastic hot dogs and donuts into the hall and invited the audience to help them out.
Drunk Jennifer Lawrence (2018)
Jennifer Lawrence (28) couldn’t help laughing during almost the entire ceremony, and also prevented photographers from taking pictures of other stars on the runway and stood on chairs in the audience! Looks like Jen had a little too much champagne. But at least it didn’t this time.
Rami Malek fell down the stairs (2019)
The actor, who won the best male role in Bohemian Rhapsody, left the stage in a magnificent way: he fell down the stairs with the Oscar.
Ridiculous Costumes (2019)

Melissa McCarthy and Brian Tyree Henry took the stage to announce the Best Costume Design winner in totally ridiculous costumes. The plush bunnies on Melissa and the incomprehensible rags on Brian caused a round of applause in the hall. By the way, the movie “Black Panther” won the nomination.
Rocking Javier Bardem (2019)

Accompanied by Adam Lambert, the band Queen made a splash by performing the legendary song We Will Rock You. The hall started dancing immediately, but Javier Bardem was the happiest.
Bong Joon Ho’s Love Look (2020)

The film “Parasite” won a real victory last year: the picture received four “Oscars”, including in the main category “Best Picture”. And the look at which Bong looked at the coveted award became a meme in the soul: “Let them look at you the same way Bong Joon Ho looks at his statuette.”
Julia Butter Sandwich (2020)

The young actress of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood prepared well for the ceremony. Julia took the turkey sandwich and put it straight in her bag. When asked by journalists, she replied that she “didn’t like the food served here.” That’s right, I carry everything with me.
Sleeping Martin Scorsese (2020)

During Eminem’s Lose Yourself performance, cameras caught the director sleeping in the hall.
Twerk Glenn Close (2021)
Glenn Close, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2021 for her role in Hillbilly’s Elegy, performed the victory dance for the eighth time after the ceremony ended. At least we would have given him the statuette for him.
Live with the Wolves… (2021)
Taking the stage for best picture (“Nomadland”), Frances McDormand thought of nothing better than to start howling like a wolf at the moon. True, before these performances he managed to warn the audience that he wanted to dedicate the award to the wolf with this gesture.
