The Costume Designers Guild brought together top talent on February 27 to celebrate the best on-screen looks of 2023. There, to honor the best fashion film and television had to offer, the stars undoubtedly dressed to amaze during the event.
Austin Butler she rocked the red carpet in another of the neo-retro looks that have become her uniform this awards season. He paired a classic black jacket with satin lapels over an unbuttoned sheer black shirt to show off a little chest. Bright shoes, textured blonde locks, and a hint of stubble pulled her look together.
While stars reign supreme on the red carpet, favorite designers from the worlds of film and television were the real center of attention for the evening. Catalina Martino took home the Period Film Award for elvis, often an indicator of Oscar gold. Shirley Kurata won for the explosion of colorful looks at A24 everything everywhere AND Jenny Eagan won a Netflix-style trophy glass of onion.

Angela Bassetto

Angela Bassett was the epitome of glamor at the CDG Awards. Her Moschino jacket featured a dark train with crimson lining and she wore a stylish hat.

Ashley Park shone in bright blue Gaurav Gupta at the event. Her dress had a long train that revealed thick boots beneath her.
Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci looked simply stunning in a burgundy red dress at the 25th Costume Designers Guild Awards. Her look featured a plunging neckline embellished with gold birds while she showed off a little more skin with some cutouts and a slit up her leg.
Shirley Kurata

Shirley Kurata looked stunning in bright white at the 25th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. She paired the dress’s sheer rhinestone-encrusted overlay with a Lele Sadoughi headband and opted for silver pumps. Shirley won the Award for Excellence in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Film for her numerous costumes in All everywhere at once.
Bette Midler

Bette Midler wore pure elegance at the 25th Costume Designers Guild Awards. Her short-sleeved black dress was decorated with tons of jewels, which matched perfectly with her metallic clutch and silver hair.
Kate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett wore Balmain for the event. Her jacket featured sculpted shoulders and ornate toggle buttons and was paired with a polka dot blouse.
Jenny Eagan

Jenny Eagan shone in a metallic leotard at the awards. She took home the Excellence in Contemporary Film trophy for Crystal Onion: A knife-edge mystery.
Catalina Martino

Catherine Martin tickled us with her look at the 25th Costume Designers Guild Awards. Looking like a true fashion icon, she paired a peach leather jacket with a shimmery dress and coral sunglasses.
Catherine won the Excellence in Period Film Award for her work elvis, usually an important indicator for the Oscar trophy. The Australian designer already has four Oscars, won for her work Moulin Rouge! AND The Great Gatsby.
