Elon Musk accepts the will of the people after polling Twitter users about stepping down as the social network’s CEO. The poll had more than 17 million votes, and the 57.5% result suggested that Musk would leave his current position.

In a new tweet, Musk confirmed that he will pass the baton to someone else when the time comes and revealed what he plans to do next.

“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone stupid enough to take the job! After that, I will only lead the software and server teams,” he said tweeted.

Musk did not give his supporters a timeline on when he planned to step down as CEO or whether he was actively looking for someone to replace him.

Musk previously polled Twitter users about restoring suspended accounts like Donald Trump and Kanye West and did so after the survey was completed.

The Tesla owner previously tweeted what it would take to power the social media platform he bought for about $44 billion.

“The question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive,” he said answered to a user who said he was available to accept the job.

Another user suggested that Musk should run the platform and leave the salary, to which the owner said: “You have to love pain a lot. One caveat: you have to invest your life savings in Twitter, and the company has been since May on a fast track to bankruptcy.do you still want the job

Besides, he said another user said He doesn’t have a “successor” because no one “wanted the job that could actually keep Twitter alive.”
