“Shazam!” Star Zachary Levi Responds to Claims He’s Being Remade Amid DC Universe Seizures

Zachary Levi brushes off fan demands that he be reworked Shazam! amid the reorganization of the DC Universe after Peter Safran and James Gunn took over as co-leaders.

A fan on Twitter claiming to be “angry”. that the lining Alum would no longer be the superhero as they believed “he was the perfect casting choice.” The Shazam! He enthusiastically added that Levi and Gunn are “good friends.” Another Twitter user quoted the tweet above, adding: “I want this to be untrue because his Shazam is ONE thing in the DCEU that I will absolutely put my hands up to protect. @ZacharyLevi is perfection.”

Upon seeing the earlier interaction, Levi clarified his current status with DC by tweeting, “Oooh, I really won’t believe everything you see on the internet. I’m Gucci, Ash. We’re all Gucci.”

Levi stars in the sequel Shazam! wrath of the gods where he reprises his superhero role.

Fans of the DC movies are worried about the future of their favorite actors in superhero costumes as Gunn and Safran herald a new era in the universe.
