Amazon Audible Announces Agreement for The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Pride & Prejudice Podcast Adaptations in India

EXCLUSIVE: Amazon Audible has struck a deal with Indian production company The Foundry, which produces podcast adaptations from the likes of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and pride and prejudice to the platform in India.

Around 60 hours of content has been licensed to the US giant’s pod-casting arm, consisting of adaptations and originals created by The Foundry editor-in-chief Vekeana Dhillon, writer of the Disney+ Hotstar Virat Kohli animation big v

Mods included in the deal include a version of The Adventures of Sherlock HolmesA Hindi adaptation by Jane Austen pride and prejudice and Munshi Premchand’s classics Karmabhomi.

Original content includes Dhillon’s disaster sound series Caught and mystery thrillers The woman in bed #3.

Audible India content director Ridhima Thakral described The Foundry as “one of the country’s leading content development studios for our service”. “With stories produced across genres, including classics, mysteries, dramas and more, we look forward to incredible entertainment,” he added.
