It’s not just black in life! This warm-toned mascara imagined by makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury could upset our makeup habits.

To enhance the look, mascara is essential. If the principle of blackening eyelashes does not date back to yesterday (in Antiquity, we used a paste based on antimony powder, a bluish black rock, to protect them from certain diseases), the mascara in the tube as we know it today is relatively recent: we owe it to Helena Rubinstein who, in 1957, created the fluid version of mascara for cakes. Of all the colors available, black is the most popular, but another shade is starting to do well, thanks in particular to a product that has been creating buzz since its release.

Launched in 2020, the Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk mascara promises to separate, lengthen and lift lashes for 24 hours, coating them with softness thanks to a “care” formula containing natural waxes and keratin. Two colors are available: Super blacka deep black, e Dream pops, a brown with a hint of pink. And it is the latter that seems to win all the votes, especially on TikTok, where the hashtag #brownmascara has more than fifteen million views.
