It looks like Baskin Robbins is leaving but promises to return, albeit under a new name. It has been learned that ice cream producer BRPI (formerly Baskin Robbins Production International Limited – Ed.), which produces products under the Baskin Robbins brand in Russia, has applied for the registration of the BRandICE trademark. Reported by “Kommersant” with reference to the Rospatent database.

The old Baskin Robbins site has now been rebranded and the franchise owner Baskin Robbins cafes are replacing the signage with new ones. Registration of new trademarks may result in the forfeiture of the right to use the Baskin Robbins trademark. This is what the sources of the publishing house “Kommersant” say.

By the way, BRPI produces about 200 kinds of ice cream. The company was founded in 1994 by businessman Yuri Abrahamyan as a joint venture with the British Baskin Robbins on the basis of the Moscow No. 9 Cold Storage Warehouse.
