It has been a week of change for two industry greats, Alessandro Michele and Raf Simons They close stages and say goodbye to two of the companies that have marked them the most. The first time he leaves Gucci, the house where he has worked since 2002, when Tom Ford, creative director, hired him to design the company’s bags, until he later took the reins and made it in his image and likeness. The second, Raf Simons, also announced the closure of his eponymous firm this week. He did it through Instagram where he posted a message breaking the news after deleting his entire profile. The brand has announced the expansion of its products with the launch of its first collection of perfumes for women, men, girls and boys, ahead of the Christmas shopping season when these products feature. With affordable prices, the company presents a total of six proposals for 7.99 euros in colognes for women, with an emphasis on sweet scents such as flowers and caramel. For men, they have presented a collection consisting of four fragrances and four masculine sprays.

The well-known designer Raf Simons says goodbye to his company, the creative co-director of the Italian Prada has announced, together with Miuccia Prada, that he will close his eponymous brand. Simons posted a message on Instagram breaking the news after deleting his entire profile. In the post, Simons included key people and moments in his life, such as his parents and the year “1995,” referring to when he made his first collection.

The space is located in Galería Canalejas. On this occasion, the company has had the artist Anita Suárez de Lezo, who has been commissioned to create a work of art to pay tribute to the Maison’s avant-garde design and craftsmanship. At the inauguration they also had a fantastic performance by Guitarricadelafuente. Louis Vuitton is expanding its presence in the capital with this new store which is open Monday to Saturday from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is located on the ground floor of Galería Canalejas.

Glenn Martens brings us the Pre-Fall 2023 collection in the form of denim jackets, miniskirts, wide-leg jeans and leather, denim and metallic fabrics, which are still the stars. Dr. Martens, the iconic British footwear brand, opened its fourth physical retail space in Spain on November 24 after opening its last store on Calle Colón in Valencia. The city chosen to house this space is the city of San Sebastián. The store has a strategic location at number 5 Loyola street and a space of 76 m2 open to the public.

The pop-up with which Gianni Chiarini enters the Spanish market opens, the store will be at El Corte Inglés in Castellana until January 8, where the latest Marcella Club collection for the autumn/winter season can be found. The short-lived space will serve to test the market and if it works well they aim to remain permanently in one of the main El Corte Inglés locations by 2023.
