The Queen’s close friend, Lady Anne Glenconner, has made it clear that she is not a fan of Netflix’s The Crown. Lady Anne has known the Queen since her coronation.
He called the series “total fantasy”: “The problem is that people, especially in America, totally believe it,” he explained in an interview on BBC Radio 4 People. “It’s very disturbing. I’m not watching The Crown right now because it pisses me off.”
It is worth noting that earlier the series was criticized by the public only for the large number of fictional moments. Although Netflix added a disclaimer to season five to make it clear that this is a “fictitious” retelling.
Additionally, a royal expert had previously claimed that another family member was considering suing Netflix over a fictional scene in the series.
