After the scandal at the Oscars: How will Will Smith react to his fans not wanting to watch his movies?

After the scandal at the Oscars, Will Smith’s life was literally split into before and after. The actor even went to treatment after the incident. It seems that he is now slowly coming back to life. Recently, the trailer of the movie “Liberation” was released. The movie will be released on December 9th. In an interview on Jake’s Takes YouTube channel, Will Smith talked about the upcoming movie.

When asked if some people thought it would be difficult for them to watch the movie after the event, the actor replied, “I hope the story and Peter (the movie’s hero – Approx. Ed.) matter more than emotions and feelings,” Will explained.

He described the post-Oscars era as “difficult” and urged audiences not to “punish” the rest of the cast and crew who worked hard on the project.

Recall that in Deliverance, Will Smith played Peter, a slave who escaped from a farm in Louisiana during the American Civil War to travel north to join the Union army. The painting is based on the true story of a slave named Gordon, a soldier of one of the northerners’ “colored regiments”.
