Ryan Reynolds receives the 36th American Cinematheque Awards at the Beverly Hilton. The actor was supported by his wife, Blake Lively, who is currently pregnant with their fourth child.
Blake took the stage in a stunning Ralph Lauren gown, praising Ryan’s “heart, humanity, humor, integrity and unrivaled work ethic”.
“Many of these incredible qualities come from his native Canada. And giving back to the country that gave him his life is very important to who he is as a person. The actor also noted that returning home for Ryan was important throughout his life.
“It was important to keep him on the ground, to keep him sane and connected to them,” he said. “I’m his house now, and our girls are his house. And he’s running home just like that 19-year-old. Whether it’s from around the world or from a meeting across the street, he’s programmed to go home. We’d be very worried if he came home from the shoot and not in his wardrobe.
