According to a survey carried out by the FEBEA (Federation of Beauty Companies) in collaboration with OpinionWay, even if eight out of ten French people say they are worried about the subject, more than 30% of the population still considers ecological gestures in the bathroom a constraint.
While the government launched an energy sobriety plan on October 6, FEBEA and the government information service are joining forces for the digital campaign #2Good Reasons to remember the positive impact of these gestures on the environment, but also in the hope of making them part of the habits of all citizens.

What ecological beauty gestures in the bathroom?
The awareness campaign, broadcast on FEBEA’s social networks since November 16, highlights nine simple, easy to implement and effective actions to protect water and energy resources, limit packaging and reduce waste :
- Use an inexpensive shower head
- Think leave-in products and multi-use products
- Think eco-refills and bulk products
- Turn off the tap water to brush your teeth, shave or wash your face
- Lower the temperature of the water in the shower
- Order the packaging of personal care and beauty products
- Spend less time in the shower
- Unplug standby electrical appliances in bathroom
- Cut the empty tubes to recover the remains of the product
According to Emmanuel Guichard, deputy director of FEBEA, “this new campaign offers a double perspective based on the benefits of acting on an individual and collective level. It is a positive approach based on benefits, rather than injunction or dramatization”. Because taking care of yourself with simple and effective ecological gestures in your bathroom also helps to take care of the planet.
