Chris Hemsworth thinks Thor could die in the next film

In an interview with Vanity Fair where he was asked if he hopes to wrap up his Marvel Studios character’s story, Hemsworth revealed that he thinks Thor’s next solo film could be the end of his long run in the MCU: “Yeah, sure. I have a feeling we should probably end that if I were to (play Thor) again, you know what I mean? I think I would probably warrant that. I have a feeling this could be the end of it, but this isn’t based on anything anyone has told me or any kind of plan (Marvel Studios). You have a hero’s birth, a hero’s journey, then a hero’s death and I don’t know, am I at that stage? Who knows?”.

Hemsworth is the only actor in the MCU to have four films about his character, and according to his last words it’s not impossible to see a fifth. Neither Disney nor Marvel Studios has made any official pronouncements on developing a new God of Thunder installment, but the first post-credits scene of “Thor: Love and Thunder” showed us that Thor has at least one more challenge.
