Australian comedian Celeste Barber makes her first comedy special for Netflix, filmed during a special encore of hers Celeste Barber – Great, thank you Guided tour of the Sydney Opera House.
The hour-long special will stream on Netflix in 2023. According to Netflix, Barber explores topics ranging from famous sex toys to why hot girls can’t dance, and describes the dizzying euphoria and brutal devastation of an invitation to Coachella — the same year it was canceled.
Barber’s sold-out Sydney Opera House performance follows a world tour of North America, the UK and several European countries.
Barber is also working with Netflix on previously announced drama series Wellmaniainspired by Brigid Delaney’s novel Wellmania: Setbacks in the Quest for Wellbeingwhich will also be launched in 2023.
“It’s been such an amazing year for me and I can’t think of a better way to end my world tour than doing a Netflix special at the Sydney Opera House,” said Barber.
“This moment will not pass me by. To top it off, shooting this special for Netflix is such an exciting prospect, especially since we’re already working together to reach Wellmania audiences next year. Can’t wait to deliver Celeste Barber – Great, thank you a whole new audience with this Netflix special!”
