EXCLUSIVE: Have hope and burden of truth Showrunner Adam Pettle has joined a newly formed content division at Vanguarde Artists Management in Canada.
Pettle, also director of the CBC drama the communitywill work with Tina Horwitz and Jay Horwitz at Vanguarde Pictures, which will be based in Toronto and will focus on developing scripted content for cable, broadcast, streaming and podcasts.
Tina Horwitz, founder of Vanguarde Artists Management, will join Jay Horwitz as co-head of Vanguarde Pictures.
“It’s a very natural progression for Adam and for us as a whole,” said Tina Horwitz. “We are fortunate to have some very rewarding relationships with customers as manufacturers, and we look forward to furthering those efforts.”
In addition to managing clients, she has served as an executive producer on CBC and Netflix series working motherswhich is nearing the end of a seven-season run.
Pettle’s credits include showrunners on Corus and NBC drama nurses, burden of truth for CBC and The CW and CTV’s supernatural medical series Have hopewhich aired for five seasons on CTV and her first on NBC in the US.
He was also Lead Creative for the Black Screen Office sponsored anthology festivalwhich is currently in development at Bell Media and most recently helped develop the CBC drama series the community as writing executive producer alongside series creators Shamier Anderson and Stephan James.

Vanguarde Artist Management has clients such as the founder of the comedy group Picnicface and Cavendish co-creator Andy Bush and Diggstown Creator Floyd Kane.
